Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone suffered through a gruesome, ten year civil war which ended in 2002. I documented the stories of Sierra Leonians who were trying to rebuild their lives and feed and educate their children, in a country that is listed as one of the worlds poorest countries by the UN Development Index. Stories and photographs ranged from Teenage mothers, to survivors of massacres, to orphans being looked in shelters as NGOs try to trace their families.
